Digital Image Processing: Photography
Topics include lenses and optics, light and sensors, optical effects, perspective and depth of field, sampling and noise, the camera as a computing platform, image processing and editing and computational photography.
Taking photographs, and improving your picture-taking skills, are a part of this course. This means you'll need a digital camera. In particular, we require you to have a camera with manual control over shutter speed and aperture.
An introduction to the scientific and computing aspects of digital photography - how digital cameras work, how to take good pictures using them, and how to manipulate these pictures afterwards.
