Andersen, Valencia City Council, Generalitat and private sector analyze new living models

Andersen, The València City Council, the Generalitat Valenciana, and the private sector have met to analyze the challenges and opportunities presented by the new living models and new trends in the residential market, in a conference organized as part of the initiatives of the Andersen UPV Chair.

The event, presented by  Rafael Ripoll Of Counsel of Andersen; and moderated by Araceli Martín-Navarro, President of Coword; has counted on the participation of  Carlos MoralesJuan Giner Corell, Fourth Deputy Mayor, and Councilman Delegate for Urban Planning, Housing and Licensing of the Valencia City Council; Miguel Ángel Ivorra Devesa, General Director of Urban Planning, Landscape and Environmental Assessment of the Regional Ministry of Environment, Infrastructures, and Territory; and David Pablo Botin, General Director of Affordable Housing and Flex Living of Aedas Homes.

During the colloquium, the need to apply clear regulations that facilitate the implementation of these models, guaranteeing legal certainty and balanced regulation, was stressed. Likewise, public-private collaboration has been highlighted as a key to solve the growing demand for housing, considering that these models offer solutions adapted to the current social and demographic changes. In this regard, our Partner Carlos Morales Ruiz concluded the meeting by emphasizing the importance of “understanding the concept that we are regulating, which is a social need and a new concept of housing, not a speculative reality. We are facing the challenge of satisfying such a basic need as being able to live as one wants with quality of life”.
