Do you soon have to choose your university studies and where to study? To make this important decision easier for you, the UPV carries out during the academic year various guidance and counseling activities aimed at high school and vocational training students, as well as their families. We not only cover the Valencian Community, but also many other parts of the Spanish geography and beyond our borders.
UPV participates in educational fairs
Every year, UPV participates in Unitour, the main educational fair that travels to different cities throughout Spain. Specifically, this year, UPV has attended Alicante, Murcia, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Castellón and Valencia.
It also takes part in the University Days circuit. This year, we have been in Palma, Ibiza, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Valencia. In all of them, the UPV informs about its degrees and helps to solve doubts related to university entrance exams, admission procedures, scholarships, accommodation, etc.
In addition, we also attend fairs organized by municipalities such as Benidorm, Hellín (Albacete), Menorca or Ibiza. The objective is to collaborate with public entities as part of our university orientation work.
From January to April, the UPV conducts face-to-face JPAs.
On the other hand, the UPV organizes every year the Open Door Days (ODD) which are aimed at high school and vocational training students (on Tuesdays) and their families (on Saturdays).
During these sessions -which are held in the morning and in person at the three campuses of the UPV: Vera (Valencia), Gandia and Alcoy- lectures are given about the different degrees and double degrees that are taught. All this is complemented with guided visits to schools and faculties, as well as tours of the main facilities and services of the UPV.
And, in parallel, on-line sessions are offered
For all those who are left on the waiting list or who cannot travel to the campuses, the UPV enables the JPA on-line. On February 5, a general introduction to UPV studies webinar will be held.
Interested persons can subscribe to the lecture by clicking on here
This general session is part of a series of 15 on-line talks in which each of the schools and faculties of the Universitat Politècnica de València explain in detail and, one by one, their degrees. In this link, you can find the complete calendar.
And the UPV visits secondary schools on demand with its new Network of Ambassadors.
In addition, the UPV offers its Ambassadors Network program, an initiative designed for those centers far from the UPV campuses and, therefore, with more difficulty to attend the Open Days.
In this case, a pair of ambassadors -formed by a professor and a student of the UPV- will travel to the educational center to give a talk about the academic offer, the different access systems, scholarships and services.
To participate in the Ambassadors Network program, the following three requirements must be met: the center requesting it must not have attended the JPAs organized by the UPV; it must be located far from the UPV campuses, within a radius of at least 50 km from Alcoy, Gandia or Valencia; the students in question must be enrolled in High School (any of the different modalities) or in Higher Level Training Cycles.
Centers interested in requesting a visit should send an e-mail to embajadores@upv.es proposing date and time. From the Communication Area, we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the visit and close all the details of the activity.
