On Thursday May 11th at 7.30 pm, will take place our traditional Europe Day Commemoration Concert, in the auditorium of the Nexus (Building 6G) of the UPV. To celebrate this special day we will count with the performances of the SEELE Choir, the Student Choir of the German School of Valencia, directed by Peter Seidelmann, and also with the Choir of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, directed by José Francisco Sánchez Iborra.
This great event, jointly organized for the past five years by the German School Music Association and the Cultural Activities Department of the Universitat Politècnica de València, commemorates, through music, a day as important as Europe Day, and further strengthens the friendly relations consolidated between the German School of Valencia and the Universitat Politècnica de València. Europe Day
On May 9th, the European Union will celebrate Europe Day 2023, a time to commemorate the Schuman Declaration of May 9th, 1950. To mark this special event, EU institutions, including EU delegations and representations around the world, will organize plenty of activities, both online and on-site, giving citizens the opportunity to discover and experience the European Union.
This May, on Europe Day, citizens together will learn more about how the EU supports peace, security and democracy through its determination in the face of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and other conflicts around the world. Europe Day 2023 will also enable visitors to become more familiar with the EU’s efforts to build a Europe that is green, digital and competitive, fair and skilled, as well as strong, resilient and secure. This year, there will be a special focus on the European Year of Skills 2023, which will start on May 9th.
On Europe Day, the EU institutions will organize, around this day, a wide range of interactive activities at their respective locations in the 27 EU Member States and around the world.
