4th Conference on Valencian hidden heritage

Patrimoni Ocultes is a project that aims to give visibility to the intangible heritage of the Valencian Community. To do so, it focuses on festivities that, despite being little known, are also part of the Valencian collective imagination and have a significant cultural value, for its tradition and its social and economic impact.

Those directly responsible for these festivals will speak at the conference to talk about their management and cultural importance. Along with the conference will be an exhibition of photographs of these festivals by Quique Collado.

This year the parties presented are the following:

FESTIVITIES OF CASTELLÓN:

1. Festes de la Mare de Déu de l’Ermitana de Peníscola (Our Lady of the Hermit of Peníscola)

2. Trobada de Dracs i Bèsties del Foc de Cervera del Maestrat (Cervera del Maestrat’s Fire Dracs and Beasts Meeting)

FESTIVITIES OF VALÈNCIA:

3. Carxofa’s Song and Porrots Dance of Silla

4. El Tio de la Porra de Gandia (Gandia’s truncheon guy)

5. Danses de Sant Agustí de Bocairent (Dances of Sant Agustí de Bocairent)

FESTIVITIES OF ALICANTE:

6. Modernist Fair of Alcoi

7. Nit de l’Olla de Benilloba (Benilloba Pot Night)
