International Day of Women and Girls in Science
“La científica màgica” is a show about women, science, magic and narrative, in which the audience will enjoy magic tricks with metals and mathematics. It is inspired by the life of Ada Lovelace and tells how stories shape us and how we shape stories.
The Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València and the City Council of Gandia collaborate in the organization of the show, “La científica màgica”, which takes place on Saturday, February 22nd, at 12.00 p.m. , in the Casa de cultura Marqués González de Quirós of Gandia. Attendance is free until full capacity is reached.
The activity is aimed at families with children from 5 to 12 years of age. and is part of the activities of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The UN has declared on February 11 as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The aim is to help make the work of women scientists more visible, to create female roles in the fields of science and engineering, and to promote practices that favor gender equality in science.
