Gamifying the SDGs as an antidote to eco-anxiety

GAME ODS is a workshop for all audiences. It is based on art therapy, ecofeminism and service-learning. It takes as a starting point the university teaching in fiction products and the artistic residency “Volem fer món” based on the conception and self-production of the game “Worlding”.
Why hold a workshop on creating games based on the SDGs?
We know that the game allows human beings to face their conflicts through strategies that minimize the negative aspects of conflict resolution in real life;
We live on the brink of environmental and human collapse. The planet burns, indigenous communities are exterminated, we wear slave clothing and we know we eat glyphosate, but what can we do? The pandemic state has brought us to the brink of collapse. Helplessness and uncertainty turn into inaction, eco-anxiety and solastalgia.
In “GAME ODS” we want to accompany this dilemma by promoting the educational, symbolic and therapeutic value of play. Through an unusual exploration motivated by personal sensitivity we will familiarize ourselves with the ODS and provoke an experiential team creation that allows Insight.
