Communication skills will be developed and resources will be acquired to facilitate autonomy in the design of sessions to be taught through the UPV’s Social Volunteering program.

Training course in artistic mediation based on temporary exhibitions and the heritage collection of the UPV. Theoretical and practical in nature and as an open code, we will work through participatory dynamics in the collaborative construction of content.

These mediations will address the programming of spaces such as Espacio n-1, the exhibition hall of the Map Collection of the Giménez Lorente Foundation, the Museum of the Sculpture Campus, Poliniza, the Computer Museum and the Telecommunications Museum, among others.

TEACHER: Alba Braza Bolis

Alba Braza is a cultural producer specialized in curating exhibitions, intervention projects in public space and artistic mediation. She develops her activity between Spain and Italy in long-term projects such as Piazza dell’Immaginario (Dryphoto arte contemporanea, Prato, Italy), la Biennal de Mislata Miquel Navarro (Ayuntamiento de Mislata) and Mostra art públic / universitat pública (Universitat de València).

She has designed artistic mediation programs such as Efecto de una fuerza aplicada bruscamente, by artist Pepe Miralles, at the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno IVAM (2018); Damas en bicicleta, at Las Naves Centro de Innovación Social y Urbana (2020); Fade In, together with Verónica Francés, for MACVAC in Vilafamés (2019), (Reset Award. Re-readings of gender and multiculturalism, Centre del Carme Contemporary Culture, Consortium of Museums of the Generalitat Valenciana).

Throughout his professional career he has worked as assistant director at Galleria Continua (San Gimignano, Italy), realized projects for Dryphoto Arte Contemporanea (Prato, Italy), Otro Espacio (Mislata, Spain) and Culturama (Valencia, Spain).

Attracted by the reflection and experimentation of formats and working methodologies of commissariat and mediation, she considers her practice as an exercise with which to produce subjectivities from and for her context, as a comfortable place for dialogue and exchange of knowledge.she is currently doing her doctoral thesis at the Universitat Politècnica de València, in the Art Program: Production and Research.
