Valencia: city and garden. Cartography of the construction of a territory.

INAURGURATION: OCTOBER 2 AT 17.30 H.

The exhibition “Valencia: city and garden” explores the relationship that this city has had with the garden that surrounds it and its own urban growth over the last centuries. This exhibition will be the opening act of the VIII International Congress ISUF-H, the title of which for this year will be “DIVERSE URBAN FORMS FOR SPACES IN RECOMPOSITION”. It is a prestigious congress with a great international visibility, especially in the Hispanic world.

The exhibition will show mainly historical and contemporary maps, old photographs and some videos that will be prepared for this purpose. The exhibition will additionally incorporate a large scale model temporarily ceded to the Generalitat in which Valencia is represented in the early eighteenth century made from the plan of Pare Tosca. The materials will not be original but scanned or printed copies that will be printed in high quality at the original scale and size in each case.
