The purpose of this distinction is to give public recognition to the sporting work of individuals, organizations, public institutions and private entities that have made a notable contribution to the promotion and development of sport, and who also stand out for their humanistic merits related to sport and their contribution to the educational and formative values of sport in the university environment, spirit of solidarity, dedication, integration, teamwork, self-improvement, equality and respect.
