Ensamble Musical Contemporánea has just joined the ranks of Generación Espontánea. It is our first musical team! This year they will be re-adapting the acclaimed Broadway musical: HAMILTON.
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical is about the American War of Independence and the creation of the USA as a country. The main character is Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers, intelligent, bold, biting with his words and the object of much criticism.
Lin-Manuel pays homage to his Latino roots and the racial and cultural diversity of the United States with plenty of rap and hip-hop, but dressed in period costumes.
