Review reports of the UPV environmental management system

2024

The report was presented to the UPV Environmental Commission at the meeting held on January 30, 2025.

In 2024, the UPV put into operation 11 photovoltaic solar energy generation plants installed on rooftops and the projects for the tender for another 1,000 kW are being finalized. 5 additional water meters were installed to improve consumption monitoring. The UPV also reduced its carbon footprint in 2023 and offsets 33 tons of CO2eq by participating in a reforestation project in Pego.

2023

The report was presented to the UPV Environmental Commission at the meeting held on January 26, 2024.

In 2023 the UPV manages to launch the bidding process for more than a dozen facilities of solar energy on the Vera campus, the installation of the new recharge points for electric vehicles and examinig and updating the botanical inventory of the three campuses.

The design of buildings, the efficient use of water, energy and space, and the practice of the circular economy, continue to present a new challenge opportunities for improvement.

2022

The report was presented to the UPV Environmental Commission at the meeting held on January 31, 2023.

The following are highlighted as opportunities for improvement: the need to continue working to increase efficiency in water consumption and the implementation of activities that promote the reduction of waste generation.
