Founded in 1990, the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage of the Universitat Politècnica de València is a leader in the field of cultural heritage preservation in Spain. Proud to be the only department in the Spanish university community with its own area of knowledge in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, granted by the Council of Universities in 1992, we are committed to academic excellence and innovation in research.
Our department is the body responsible for organizing and developing research and teaching in various areas of knowledge. Among them are Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (UPV), Drawing, Sculpture and Painting. This wide range of disciplines allows us to offer a comprehensive and multidisciplinary training that prepares our students to face the challenges of the real world in the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
In addition to our outstanding academic offerings, we stand out for our advanced research in conservation and restoration techniques. Our research projects are at the forefront of the field, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the development of new methodologies for the preservation of our cultural heritage.
