Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS)

On September 20, 21 and 22, 2023, the international action of the doctoral program in geomatics engineering was held:Galileo High Accuracy service (HAS), new perspectives for real time satellite positioning and applicationsformalized through the CFP of the UPV, free of charge.

Objectives:

  • Describe the GALILEO HAS.
  • To know the accuracy of the products generated by the service compared to the final CODE products.
  • Use HAS products for real-time precision positioning using the free RTKLib and BKG Ntrip software.
  • Recognize the importance of this service for precision positioning and other possible applications (troposphere and ionosphere).

Several presentations and workshops were held:

  • Lecture (Tomasz Hadas): GALILEO High Accuracy Service (HAS) : Description, management and applications for positioning and troposphere.
  • Workshop 1 (Tomasz Hadas): Analysis of HAS corrections, precise determination of orbit and clock values for positioning satellites. Description of HAS service implementation algorithm, implementation in MATLAB/PYTHON, accuracy evaluation.
  • Worshop 2 (Tomasz Hadas): Validation of HAS service in a simulated real time environment. PPP processing with the free RTKlib and BKG Ntrip software, comparison of HAS products with CODE products, evaluation of the results of the PPP technique using HAS and CODE products.
  • Conference (Manuel Hernández Pajares): From ionospheric correction for GNSS observables to the common inospheric tomographic clock model: contribution to the HAS service.
  • Round table discussion with speakers and course participants
