The Columbretes laboratory, as well as the Tabarca one, is an extension of the department at the School of Design Engineering (ETSID). It is equipped with 18 workstations, each with a computer with a data acquisition card, power supplies and programmable logic controllers. In this laboratory, future graduates in mechanical, electrical, automatic, electronic and aerospace engineering, perform practices related to process automation, system simulation, regulation, control engineering, mechatronics, etc. Prototypes (DC motors) and mobile robots are available for the practice sessions.
The computers are equipped with software (Matlab, Labview, Visual C++) for programming control systems as well as additinal software (PL7) for PLC programming.
