The “Control 2” laboratory is equipped with 10 workstations for process control practice using advanced prototypes. Each workstation consists of a computer equipped with a data acquisition system, power supply, oscilloscope and signal generator. In this laboratory we teach simulation, identification and modeling of processes and systems, programming and implementation of basic controllers (PID) and advanced controllers (state space, predictive control, etc.). This laboratory mainly deals with positioning control problems (levitating cylinder prototypes, helicopters). The computers are equipped with software (MATLAB, LabVIEW, Visual C++) for programming the control systems.
The laboratory is located on the second floor of the 5D building (DISA – ETSII).
