To gain admission to official undergraduate programs, students with international qualifications from non-EU countries or those without an agreement must meet the academic requirements for admission to Spanish university studies and submit their application through the Pre-Registration system.
The steps are as follows:
- Apply for the homologation of a Spanish baccalaureate degree or request the validation of international vocational education and training qualifications for their equivalent Spanish qualification through the Spanish Ministry of Education.
- Verify the admission requirements and the required GPA for Spanish university studies through the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), including the conversion of grades from pre-university studies abroad to the Spanish grading system (up to 6 points).
- Improve the admission GPA up to a maximum of 10 points by taking and passing subject exams through the UNED’s Specific Competency Tests (PCE).
- Apply for admission through the Pre-Registration system for all degrees offered by public universities (excluding those without an admission limit).
