Exhibition RDS14.0: Craftsmanship and design from the museum heritage.

Coinciding with the Valencia Disseny Week and in collaboration with the Crafts Center of the Valencian Community, our Industrial Design students exhibit their projects developed last year in the subject of Models and Prototypes Workshop. It opens on September 17 at 17:30.

Seeing experiences in museum stores working with artisans, such as the Thyssen or El Prado and are a reality the fruits of this work, which is exhibited at the Craft Center, arise from the reflection of our industrial design students of the School, from the inspirational search in works of Valencian artistic heritage of proximity, both the Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia, as the Valencian Institute of Modern Art. More recognizable works by authors such as Sorolla, Pinazo, Muñoz Degrain, Julio González, Arp or Equipo 57, and other less known works, have been represented and interpreted from the design, developed by accredited Valencian artisans, and with the aim that they could be available to all audiences, in the form of useful or decorative object. Any information in this regard, this exhibition is curated by Professor Manuel Martínez Torán ETSIADI mmtoran@upv.es
