The exhibition presents different approaches to design that promote environmental sustainability, while showcasing contributions by women designers to the field of eco-design and green design, with the aim of improving, and as far as possible repairing, the aggressions and deterioration inflicted on the natural environment.
The participating designers bring a creative approach to design, with different levels of complexity, to address pressing issues arising from the consumer society, such as the depletion of raw material resources and the overwhelming amount of waste products.
We are talking about product proposals based on reuse, recycling, the holistic cradle-to-cradle concept, the 3Rs approach, the circular economy or biophilia, which, when creating a product, take into account everything from the selection of materials to multiple options to minimize its environmental impact and improve our lives.
By showing some of these products from a gender perspective, the objective is to endorse the construction of a design culture that embraces the incorporation of a growing number of women with their projects.
