What is an Entrepreneurship Chair?
The university chairs are a way to establish a broad and qualified collaboration of companies, foundations and other entities with the UPV to develop teaching, technology, knowledge transfer and research objectives.
Consum Chair
Welcome to the CONSUM-UPV Chair created on May 28, 2007. Its purpose is the promotion and development of research activities that allow the study and improvement of the marketing and market research process of a retail distribution company.
Sustainable Earth Chair
The Chair Terre Citoyenne was born at the initiative of a group of professors, institutions and professionals from different fields linked to the Universitat Politècnica de València. It is the result of a process of accumulation of experiences of training and awareness of citizenship on issues related to agriculture, food and rural development both at European and international level.
Chair of Agricultural Structures
The Chair Agrarian Structures Valencian Community, signed by Generalitat Valenciana and Universitat Politècnica de València in September 2018, aims to promote and develop information, training, dissemination and awareness activities aimed at the university community on the problems of agrarian structures (scientific bases, modernization and adaptation to the market).
Fertinagro Chair
The purpose of the Fertinagro Biotech Chair of Agricultural Biotechnology will be the promotion and development of activities within two strategic areas: Metagenomics and Metabolomics. All of this within the framework of the specific aims and objectives of the University.
Frutinter Chair
The objectives of the Chair are:
- Preliminary study of farms in the north of the province of Castellón and smart agriculture.
- Preliminary study of aquifer modeling to guarantee resources for irrigation and smart agriculture.
- Application and implementation of preliminary studies and smart agriculture.
AVANT Inter-University Chair
The AVANT Inter-University Chair is a collaboration agreement between the Generalitat, the Universitat de València, the Universitat Politècnica de València, the Universitat de Alicante, the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló and the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche. The creation of this chair aims to develop research, teaching and dissemination activities on future strategies on depopulation.
New Green Transition Chair
The Chair of New Green Transition is an inter-university chair with the participation of the five public universities of the Valencian Community. The Chair was born from the collaboration of the Valencian universities with the Generalitat Valenciana, through the Directorate General of Institutional Coordination of the Second Vice-Presidency and the Department of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture.
TimacAgro Chair
The TIMAC AGRO, Pioneers by Nature Chair is born in the framework of a collaboration agreement between the company Timac Agro España and the Universitat Politècnica de València and aims to develop training and outreach activities related to sustainable agriculture, thus promoting scientific and technological advances and therefore economic and social development. The outreach activities will focus on the challenges of current and future agriculture, including sustainable and ecological agriculture and the digital transformation of agriculture. The Chair is attached to the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica y del Medio Natural.
Kiwa-UPV Chair
The Kiwa-UPV Quality for Progress Chair aims to carry out training, dissemination and knowledge transfer activities to improve quality and its certification in the agri-food sector.
Clau-idea Chair of Innovation and Research (Alzira)
The purpose of the CLAU-IDEA Chair of Innovation and Research will be the promotion and development of research and innovation in the field of technology, technical advice and research techniques. All this within the framework of the University’s specific aims and objectives. The development of these activities will be carried out by the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Agronòmica i del Medi natural in collaboration with the Ajuntament d’Alzira.
Chair of Renewable Energies and Sustainable Territories
Energy transition is one of the main challenges and one of the priority lines of action in the evolution towards more sustainable and inclusive economic and social models. Research, innovation and training are key to achieving the objectives set by global agendas.
Agri-photovoltaic Chair
The Chair is in collaboration with FUNDACIÓN ELECNOR, ENERGY MANAGEMENT & INNOVATION, SL.U, VAO SISTEMAS, SL, GESTIÓN Y ADMINISTRACIÓN TÉCNICA AGRARIA, S.L. and C.R.DE LLIRIA DEL CANAL PRINCIPAL DEL CAMPO DEL TURIA. The purpose of the Chair AGRIFOTOVOLATICA-UPV will be the promotion and development of the agrivoltaic modality that allows to take advantage of the resources of arable land with the generation of renewable electricity while maintaining agricultural production through the analysis of yields and compatibility between different models of integration of photovoltaic installations and agricultural crops.
Stoller Chair
The purpose of the Stoller Chair will be the promotion and development of agricultural engineering focused on the field of plant physiology, seeking through research and training to improve knowledge and products at the service of agricultural production. All this within the framework of the specific aims and objectives of the UPV. The development of these activities will be carried out through the School of Agricultural Engineering and Natural Environment. Likewise, depending on the specific projects carried out by the Chair, other centers, departments and institutes may collaborate.
Agricultural and Food Biotechnology Chair (Sakata)
Sakata Seed Iberica, a leading company in the vegetable key sector, and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) promote the Agricultural and Food Biotechnology Chair, the objective of which is to contribute to food safety, in a context of change climate that deteriorates the conditions for agricultural production.
Bayer Chair
The Bayer CropScience Chair is the result of the collaboration agreement between the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the company Bayer CropScience Iberia. The purpose of the Chair is the promotion and development of Scientific-Technological Knowledge that contribute to the development of Innovation, Digital Transformation and Sustainability in Agriculture and Food.
