The UPV will double its PV self-consumption generation, reaching 1,850kW installation

At UPV, the first 974.87 kWp photovoltaic energy production plant for self-consumption began operating in July 2024. The 1,475 660 kWp photovoltaic modules were installed on the roofs of 12 buildings on the Vera campus.

The 940 kW expansion project for this facility was completed in February 2025. The installed capacity of the second floor will be 1,018.70 kWp, corresponding to 1,578 modules in eight buildings.

Thus, current production will increase by 114%. Once expanded, the facility will generate approximately 2,682.82 MWh per year, equivalent to a CO2 emissions saving of 670,704.02 kg/year.
