Energy efficiency of buildings

The Universitat Politècnica de València is progressively undertaking renovations of its buildings to increase their energy efficiency. The interventions mainly include improving the building envelopes (facades and roofs) by increasing thermal-acoustic insulation and repairing waterproofing. The air-conditioning systems are also renovated, and LED luminaires are installed.

These investments are essential to improve the university’s sustainability since they reduce energy consumption and costs and improve the institution’s carbon footprint. The energy efficiency certificates of the buildings are renewed periodically, and their updated status can be consulted in the following maps of the three UPV campuses.
