Description of the title
The Master’s Degree in Oenology of the Universitat Politècnica de València is aimed at training professionals in wine production and winemaking, technicians and managers of companies in the sector and future researchers and specialists in wine technology and innovation.
The master’s degree has two orientations. Firstly, a professional orientation, which gives continuity to the undergraduate studies related to the food field, to train technical specialists in the productive activities characteristic of viticulture. And secondly, an academic orientation, which allows access to doctoral studies, to train in the skills of research activity in the field of viticulture, oenology and wine economics.
Objectives of the degree

To train professionals for the wine sector, responding to the social demand for highly qualified technicians who are capable of directing and managing companies and organizations in the wine sector, which is of great relevance in the national and international economy of many countries.

To train researchers and academics in the sciences of viticulture, enology and wine economics, which in recent decades have experienced great progress, turning knowledge into a strategic resource for the development and sustainability of the sector.

Internships
The External Internships will be extracurricular (paid) and correspond to the student’s stay during a determined period in a commercial winery in order to have a practical and real vision of the knowledge acquired in the theoretical classes.

Master’s Thesis
The Final Master’s Thesis (TFM) will consist of a research and development project to be carried out by the student. This work may be carried out in the research laboratories of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia or in external institutions such as wineries or national or international research centers.
The Master’s Thesis (TFM) is a study carried out by the student with the supervision of a tutor. In this stage the student integrates and applies all the knowledge and skills acquired in the different subjects taken.
