Access requirements
To access this degree, the general requirements established in Royal Decree 822/2021, specifically in Article 18 thereof, apply, as well as the regulations of Pre-registration and Admission to Master’s Degrees of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Architecture
- Degree in Architecture / Fundamentals of Architecture.
- Master’s Degree in Building
- Degree in Technical Architecture
- Other bachelor’s or master’s degrees with sufficient content in architecture, construction, building and urban planning after their curriculum has been assessed by the Academic Committee of the master’s degree. This includes degrees that, although they do not have the same denomination, address relevant content and essential competencies for professional development in these disciplines.
Language requirement:
Spanish will be used as the vehicular language in the training process of the degree, and English as a complementary language. Those who come from countries where Spanish is not an official language must accredit a B2 level of Spanish by means of any of the officially recognized certificates.
Admission for disabled students
For students with specific educational needs arising from a disability, appropriate support and counseling services will be established to assess the needs of curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies, through the support of the CEDAT Foundation of the UPV.
The CEDAT Foundation of the UPV offers information and advice to members of the university community with disabilities, as well as accompaniment and support in the classroom. In addition, it provides technical aids for study to those members of the student body who, due to their special educational needs, require it. It also promotes and manages training and employment actions for this group, both inside and outside the UPV campuses, and offers different services from its Special Employment Center.
The foundation also carries out projects for the elimination of architectural and urban barriers, comprehensive accessibility plans, accessibility audits, project reviews, advice and design of ideal accessibility models.

The admission process will be based on the following aspects:

Academic record
Your academic record will represent 30% of the weighting.

Correspondence of the entrance qualification
How well the competencies of your degree match those of the reference degree will be assessed, with a weight of 40%. The score will be as follows:
- Degree in Architecture/Foundations of Architecture, Master of Architecture or equivalent: 10 points.
- Degree in Technical Architecture, Master in Building or equivalent: 8 points.
- Other degrees: up to 5 points, as assessed by the Academic Committee of the master’s degree.

Curriculum Vitae
Previous work experience in architecture and housing will have a weight of 20% in the evaluation.

Awards for academic achievement or in architectural competitions
Prizes for academic performance or in architectural competitions, sufficiently justified, will be valued at 10%.
Applications will be admitted according to the order of score, until the number of places offered is filled. In the event of resignations, places will be offered to applicants on the waiting list.
Scholarships
Studies leading to an official university degree allow access to scholarships and grants. The Ministry of Education, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Universitat Politècnica de València itself offer various scholarships and grants.

General scholarships for students pursuing post-compulsory studies valid throughout the national territory. The scholarship will consist of exemption from payment of fees for the provision of university academic services (tuition fees), corresponding to subjects enrolled for the first time. Other fixed and variable amounts may also be obtained, if the requirements established for this purpose are met.

For the awarding of the scholarship it is necessary to prove administrative residence in the Valencian Community and not to exceed the income thresholds established by the call, as well as to comply with the general and academic requirements. The scholarship consists of the exemption from the payment of fees for the provision of university academic services (tuition fees), for subjects enrolled in first and second enrollment.
The Universitat Politècnica de València offers various scholarships or grants such as social action grants, canteen grants or collaboration training grants. There are also grants for sportsmen and women.

Pre-registration process
Pre-registration is the procedure used to order all the applications received by each university master’s degree, according to the access requirements that have been established and the evaluation of the merits presented by each applicant.
