Access requirements
The requirements for access to this degree are those generally established in Royal Decree 822/2021, in the wording given in its article 18. Likewise, those established in the Regulations for Pre-registration and Admission to university master’s degree studies at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) are also applicable.
In order to access the official university master’s degree courses, it is necessary to hold one of the following degrees:
- Official Spanish Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees, equivalents from other countries of the EHEA, and foreign degrees that are not homologated but with postgraduate access level are accepted.
- Foreign university degrees approved by the Ministry of Education that are equivalent to Spanish degrees.
- Architect’s, engineer’s, diploma and its equivalents with the required educational complements are accepted.
Exceptions:
Students with a Spanish or EHEA degree who must present the TFG or have pending credits (max. 9 ECTS), as well as those who must accredit a foreign language, may be conditionally admitted.
Conditions for Engineering and Architecture: Students in Engineering and Architecture programs may be conditionally admitted if they still have to pass the TFG and some subjects, without exceeding a total of 30 ECTS.
In no case may students with conditional enrollment in a master’s degree (both in official master’s degrees that are part of academic programs with successive courses and in the rest of the official master’s degrees) obtain the master’s degree if they have not previously obtained the bachelor’s degree.
Language Requirements:
According to the Academic Committee of the Master’s Degree in Electric Mobility Engineering, held on May 10, 2023. Foreign students whose native language is not Spanish, must provide, as a preregistration requirement, a certificate of Spanish level B2, from the certifying organizations included in the tables of certificates recognized by ACLES (Association of Language Centers in Higher Education) which can be consulted on the website:
Foreign students who have an official university degree obtained in a country whose official language is Spanish may also be admitted. Those foreign students whose native language is not Spanish, and who do not have certificates included in the ACLES tables, must pass a mandatory interview for assessment (in person or by telematic means) in which they must prove their identity and level of Spanish.
Quotas for seat reservations:
The UPV will reserve at least 5 percent of the places offered in official university Master’s degrees for students with a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33 percent, as well as for students with permanent educational support needs associated with personal circumstances of disability, who in their previous studies have required resources and support for their full educational inclusion.
In the latter case, the UPV’s Service for Students with Disabilities (CEDAT Foundation) will be responsible for assessing each case in order to issue the relevant report on the appropriateness of formalizing pre-registration for a UPV master’s degree for this quota of reserved places. For this purpose, the interested party will provide the above mentioned Service with the information and supporting documentation required for the assessment of his/her application.
Admission for disabled students
For students with specific educational needs arising from a disability, appropriate support and counseling services will be established to assess the needs of curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies, through the support of the CEDAT Foundation of the UPV.
The CEDAT Foundation of the UPV offers information and advice to members of the university community with disabilities, as well as accompaniment and support in the classroom. In addition, it provides technical aids for study to those members of the student body who, due to their special educational needs, require it. It also promotes and manages training and employment actions for this group, both inside and outside the UPV campuses, and offers different services from its Special Employment Center.
The foundation also carries out projects for the elimination of architectural and urban barriers, comprehensive accessibility plans, accessibility audits, project reviews, advice and design of ideal accessibility models.
General information on access can be found in the Alumni Service – Access
Admission criteria
The adequacy of the contents of the academic curriculum of the degree with which the applicant accesses the Master’s Degree to the competencies acquired in the reference degrees will be assessed in order to prepare the study plan.

In the case of records graded on different scales, a Statement of equivalence of average grades of university studies carried out in foreign centers obtained from the Ministry responsible for Universities will be required. Those who do not provide this document will be assigned a 5 as the average grade point average.

In the event of resignations, and provided that there are applications on the waiting list, vacancies will be filled until the number of places offered or until the waiting list is exhausted, following the order of priority established above.
Special entrance exams or special admission criteria: Places within each quota are ordered and allocated according to the admission grade.
Students who have been assigned training complements will formalize their enrollment in these complements in the same academic year in which they access the university master’s degree. These training complements will be taken in the degrees of reference in the first semester of the year.
In no case may the master’s degree be obtained without having previously passed the complementary training courses.
