Last Thursday, May 9, 2024, we carried out this activity, whose objective was to learn first-hand about the enhancement of a historic building such as Casa Batlló, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and its adaptation to the tourist visit. Also, this activity aims to link the knowledge taught in the classroom in the subjects of Competitiveness and Tourism Intelligence and Seminars and Conferences in the Master’s Degree in Tourism Intelligence (MuInTur) with the practice through the knowledge of one of the best-rated museums from the point of view of the implementation of digital technologies to present its contents. For the design of the visit, we have had the collaboration of the Museum management and the participation of experts in Information and Communication Technologies. Casa Batlló has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. In addition, it is an international monument of the highest tourist hierarchy. The house-museum has many years of experience receiving visitors and updating its museography, especially from digital applications. Students in this Master’s program need to know first-hand examples of the use of technology as a tool for tourism management of a heritage resource and for the presentation of museum collections. The fact of being able to know this resource from the hand of the interpreter guides of the Casa Batlló and to establish a colloquium with them will allow deepening in the practical application of digital technologies for the presentation of heritage, as well as in the identification of weaknesses and problems in the management of the resource.
