Objectives of the degree

This master’s degree is a qualification for the professional practice of Telecommunications Engineering.

The master’s degree provides training in telecommunications technologies and systems and allows you to specialize in a wide range of disciplines such as radio frequency engineering, microelectronics, photonics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, virtual and augmented reality, web programming and network virtualization.

The Master also offers the possibility of training in collaboration with more than 20 companies from various sectors.

This possibility, known as “Dual Mention” is a novelty following the approval of RD 822/2021 and is a pioneer in Spain, and, unlike company internships in which only a financial aid grant is provided, the training is carried out jointly by the university and the company within the framework of a paid employment contract.

Internships
Internships in companies are cooperation agreements between the UPV and the company/institution through which UPV students can carry out training internships. Internships in companies can only be taken extracurricularly due to their incompatibility with the Dual Mention.
Research and access to Ph.
Master’s Degree students who have passed at least 60 credits may be admitted to the UPV Doctoral Program in Telecommunications.
Academic exchange / agreements with other universities
The second year of the master’s degree can be taken in mobility format in multiple international destinations. In addition, it offers the possibility of taking a double master’s degree with other degrees offered by the UPV and foreign universities.

Facilities and laboratories
The ETSIT has two buildings for teaching classes, the 4D and 4P buildings, which house 26 classrooms, 8 computer classrooms and 21 teaching laboratories.
Some of the laboratories used in the practical classes are: Electronic Projects, Telematic Services, Optical Communications, Radio Communications, Signal Docent, Telematic Networks, Electronic Technology, and Sound and Image.
Master’s Thesis
The MUIT Master’s Thesis is 30 credits and is carried out in the second semester of the second year. It includes the individual completion of an original exercise and its presentation and defense before an examining board. The work consists of an applied project in the field of Telecommunications that synthesizes and integrates the skills acquired in the degree courses.
It is possible to carry it out within the Dual Mention. In this case, the realization of this work will have additional and complementary characteristics in terms of monitoring and evaluation, to ensure compliance with the corresponding and specific training program that is developed in the company.
