New HPC Scientific Computing cluster: Sirius

ASIC makes available to the research community a scientific computing cluster dedicated to both distributed processing and shared memory jobs, as well as a high-performance storage system, providing the user with unified disk space.

The new scientific computing cluster consists of a supercomputer exascale BullSequana XH3000, developed by the company Atos.

The system configured at UPV, and baptized with the name Sirius, consists of 33 compute nodes equipped with 56-core Intel Xeon 8480 processors, and 2 nodes accelerated with 4 NVIDIA HGX H100, 80GB GPUs.  It offers unprecedented computing power reaching 259Tflops for general purpose thanks to its 3696 2Ghz cores and 535Tflops of supercomputing on GPUs and Artificial Intelligence and GPUs.
