Official Announcement

More precise instructions will be given on 4 December regarding this return to normality scenario

[ 27/11/2024 ]

27 November 2024

The Universitat Politècnica de València would like to express its profound gratitude for the solidarity and commitment of the entire university community. Your preference for access on foot, by bicycle or scooter has been instrumental in our successful return to progressive attendance, with minimal traffic congestion. This joint effort, which reflects the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of our student body and all university staff, is a testament to your value and integral role in our community. We sincerely thank you for your contribution.

Academic organisation and gradual return to normalcy

1. Hybrid mode for the first two years of bachelor's and master's degree courses from 2 December: Each school will organise this mode according to the specific needs of its degree courses and available resources.

2. Face-to-face sessions according to experimentality: Schools will continue to organise face-to-face placements according to the level of experimentality required, ensuring that the activities essential for practical training can be carried out with the best guarantees.

3. Resumption of examinations: As planned and announced last week, the exams will restart tomorrow, 28 November, following the timetable previously communicated by the centres.

Prospects as of 9 December

According to forecasts, if the metro service is reopened on 6 December as announced, the entire university could return to relative normality as of 9 December. In this scenario, still hybrid, online monitoring will be guaranteed for those who continue to be affected or whose ability to access the campuses is seriously compromised, inviting the rest of the university community to return to being in person, always trying to minimise the use of private vehicles. More precise instructions will be given on 4 December regarding this return to normality scenario.

We reiterate our thanks for the patience, commitment and responsibility our entire community showed during this exceptional period.

José E. Capilla

Rector of the Universitat Politècnica de València
