The Secretary of State for Education has published the resolution announcing the availability of general scholarships for students enrolled in post-compulsory education for the 2025-2026 academic year.
This call is aimed at those studying the different post-compulsory courses in the Spanish education system, both university and non-university levels. It is intended to compensate students who meet certain socio-economic and academic requirements for the expenses involved in the educational process by directly granting and paying a scholarship.
The deadline for applications, which must be completed by filling in the form accessible electronically at both https://sede.educacion.gob.es and https://www.educacionyfp.gob.es, is now open and will end next Wednesday, 14 May, at 3 p.m. (peninsular time).
Before 5 December 2025, the autonomous communities will inform the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport of the amount of the fixed sums awarded.
Those interested can check the status of their application at https://sede.educacion.gob.es in the 'My files' section. Likewise, those interested may contact the scholarship unit of the corresponding educational administration or university, identifying themselves in the file with their NIF/NIE.
In addition, on the website of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, it is possible to consult the status of applications in each of the universities and educational administrations.
Among the improvements included for the next academic year, the resolution highlights ‘free enrolment fees for students of higher artistic education, a 200€ increase in the residence scholarship and a 25% increase in the fixed amounts for university students and students of higher artistic education who can accredit a disability equal to or greater than 25% and less than 65%’.
For more information, anyone interested can visit the website of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport or that of the Scholarship Unit of the Student Services of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
